Midnattsol - Debut New Video

Midnattsol took their time with their new album, The Aftermath, but it's finally being released on May 25th 2018 through Napalm Records. After a teaser, the folk metallers have now revealed the first single and video of new material, including insights into their songwriting and recording process. Enjoy below "Herr Mannelig", a rendition of the traditional Swedish ballad.

Liv Kristine joined Midnattsol as their official second singer last year.

SAVN and I think it's probably past tense.

Listened to this through a couple of times now and it's struggling to grab me... Konkylie it ain't.

First gig was Manowar (loincloths 'n' all), Bristol Colston Hall in March 1983, on the 'Hail to England' tour. Tickets were £3.75, 300 in the audience, Mercyful Fate never showed, but my hearing still got seriously trashed..

Replace clean vocals with some growls and you've got yourself a decent Doom cover. I would have accepted that, but this is just straight out boring.

I prefer Haggard's version of this song.

"I'm here to nunchuck and not wear helmets. And I'm all out of helmets."
"I'll fight you on one condition. That you lower your nipples."
" 'Tis a lie! Thy backside is whole and ungobbled, thou ungrateful whelp!"
