This Friday, US trio Howling Sycamore will set free their second studio record, Seven Pathways To Annihilation, via Prosthetic Records. The band is pleased to share a new single, "Mastering Fire", now available for streaming and listening.

The band's mastermind Davide Tiso on the song: "Mastering Fire" is the long mid-tempo song that I choose to open Seven Pathways To Annihilation with, I think it perfectly sets the mood for the adventurous atmosphere of the album itself. The song has a strangely uplifting vibe for Howling Sycamore standards and it proudly shows off one of Jason McMaster's best vocal performance with the band so far. The Chuck Shuldiner influenced guitar solo that Kevin Hufnagell delivers after the first main riff is simply stunning, and gives way to a series of open hearted riffs influenced by a certain kind of mid paced metal that we never really approached before. I even hear some Metallica in there!
