Between The Buried And Me - Finish Tracking New Studio Album
Americans Between The Buried And Me have recently completed the tracking of their next studio album, the follow-up to 2018's Automata II. The process took place at The Basement Recording studio in North Carolina with producer Jamie King.
Comments the band: "2020 ain't been worth a lick, but guess what...tracking for the newest BTBAM is in the books! As always, we owe Jamie King a massive debt of gratitude. It cannot be overstated how much this guy means to us, and how important he has been to helping us evolve over the past 20 years. We can't wait for you all to hear what we've cooked up over here. Until then, be safe and don't be an asshole."

I'm so illiterate when it comes to music production that I have no idea what "tracking" refers to and when it occurs in the production process, but I'm looking forward to a new record by them, even though the last double album thing was a bit disappointing

Written by Desha on 27.12.2020 at 18:59 was there a typo in the article that's been corrected? because they're talking about tracking, i.e. laying down the instrument/vocal tracks for the album. I'm very excited for it; Coma Ecliptic and Automata were a definite step below the few that preceded them for me, but I still enjoyed them a lot so I expect to dig whatever they come up with here
