Messa - Band Involved In Car Accident

At 16:52 UTC time, Messa shared the following alarming news on their Facebook page about being involved in a car accident. Read the full statement below.

Messa posted: "Trigger warning: accident

"Yesterday night after the last show of our tour we got in a car crash. Another driver coming from the opposite direction went straight at us on our lane and impacted with us frontally. The whole crew is alive, the van is destroyed and some of us will have to undergo surgery. We are okay, but it will take us some months to recover fully. More updates will come soon.

"If you want to support us during these hard times, you can buy our records via Bandcamp or donate here to help for everything we'll have to go through.

"We probably won't be able to answer all of you, but we do appreciate and cherish each and every thought for us. The relief of hearing the live voices of us all, checking on each other's state while in the van right after the accident, is something that will not fade away easily.

"Much love to you all. To better days,
Messa, Otto, Matteo
"

Considering the amount of (mostly) van touring happening out there in the world i am amazed it doesn't happen more often. Drivers (most often band members) are often tired after weeks or months of constant touring, performing and partying. The venues are often located across continent(s). I wish them a speedy physical recovery and no psychological trauma afterwards. It can happen to us all. it's bad luck and a statistical probability. Drive carefully people because driving is not a joke

I just want to clarify that it was the other car that fucked up and went to the other lane. Not the band's.

Excellent band. Well worth picking up an album off of Bandcamp to help keep them on their feet.

Most people drive like an idiots often, specially in intensive traffic. Last winter I drove in heavy snow storm on 80 road, I drove 40 because visibility was 25 m. Moose, reindeer often are on the road, some idiots drove around me hmm 130lm per h. After 1lm they were of the road. If it won't be 1m deep snow, they would be dead now. I have millions of stores what I have seen how idiots drive.
I agree whit you even it was not bands failure, big bands has drivers.
I followed my friend to Koutikeino whit a truck in blizzard. Trucks has super good heavy lights you see as from alien ship. That night visiblity was 10m whit super lights, few cars drove maybe 100 km per h. We did stop to wait when it's over. Guess what few cars was of road. So.... Just saying

Terrible news. I saw them in concert just 10 days ago and they are amazing. I wish that this accident will not leave them with long term consequences.
