It's been almost eight years since thrash/speed/power metal veterans Helstar released their most recent studio album Vampiro, guitarist Larry Barragán confirmed on his Facebook page that the band has a new record in the works, with its first single coming soon. More info in due time.

Barragán wrote: "2024, will make 42 years with horns held high. I don’t know where or when the ride will stop but I know it draws near. Helstar is currently working on a new album with single soon to be released! I’m very excited about it!"

Well, they did release Clad in Black in '21, but that only had a few new songs. They've been talking about releasing this new album for a while and it looks like we're finally getting it. Can't wait 🤘
