Three years after the release of his latest studio album A Deep Voiceless Wilderness, Steve Von Till shared news that he has started the recording process of the follow-up together with producer Randall Dunn.

Steve Von Till comments: "Spent the last several days of my winter break with a visit from recording / production wizard, Randall Dunn to begin work on my next solo album. We hung out in my small home studio, went over my foundation tracks, and discussed arrangements, overdubs, and treatments that we will record in the near future. We had planned to get my vocal takes finished, but the day before Randall arrived I got a sore throat and lost my voice. Thanks for a great visit my friend. I am very excited about the direction we are headed with my new songs and look forward to heading to your spot, Circular Ruin Studio in New York later this year to finish and mix this thing. In the meantime, there is a lot of work yet to be done."
