Co-founder and guitarist Markus Steffen commented: "Dear friends of Subsignal. Unfortunately, the year 2025 begins with very bad news. Arno has decided to leave the band. I have known about his decision, which is very disappointing for me, for a few months now. We started Subsignal as our joint project and gradually built up and established the band over the years with a lot of sweat and tears. And I would have liked to continue on the path with Arno, but ultimately we have no choice but to respect his decision and wish him all the best for his future musical and personal path.
"After plenty of time to think about it, I have decided to continue the band with a new singer. Since Arno's personality and voice were absolutely unique, I am aware that this undertaking will not be an easy one. But for me, the story of Subsignal is not yet over and I think that there is always an opportunity in new things and change. Subsignal 2.0 will certainly sound different, but I would be happy if you gave us a chance and approached the new sounds with curiosity and interest.

Bad news if another vocalist joins one of these bands, they should no longer be called Subsignal
