Nightlight - Reformed
After 13 years of silence, Danmark's gothic metal band Nightlight has reformed. The six-piece is also preparing to release a brand-new studio album, scheduled for an early 2026. More info in due time.
Statement from Nightlight is as follows: "We are back! The year is 1997. A couple of guys from a small town north of Copenhagen decided that the road to success would go through goth metal. However, Misery was destined for a different adventure, which meant that the gothic plans had to be shelved until 2005, when Nightlight saw the light of day. The style was dark, melodic, romantically rock-infused, and bursting with a charisma that had no equal on the Danish scene. With the debut album Funeral of Love under their belts, the band made the local live scene uncertain. Not only did Nightlight frequently fill the local rock club to the busting point as a headliner, but also as a support act for bands like The 69 Eyes, Leaves' Eyes and Type O Negative. This, by any means, gave the band just the right exposure.
"Here in 2025, the band has reformed after a 13-year absence, and with new blood in the lineup, Nightlight is back stronger than ever. At the same time, Nightlight is also preparing to release a brand-new album, scheduled for an early 2026 release."
Nightlight line-up 2025:
Martin Steene -Vocals
Nikolaj Ihlemann : Lead and Rhythm Guitars
Gunnar Olsen (: Drums
Daniel Steely Johanson : Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Backing Vocals
Hadrian Esteves : Bass
