I've had the pleasure of serving him some 20 years ago at his wife's surprise birthday party in Claridges Hotel. It wasn't a big event, just family and close friends. He was very kind and relaxed, wearing his usual black clothes and long cross. He didn't have a drop of alcohol that night.

Reast easy, legend, and thank you for the music.

Rest in peace Ozzy. To think the music to whom I have dedicated my life and existence to, started with you. This feels personal.

The part between 6:42 an 7:42 hits me hard. This is what put me into metal by my dad(who btw felt gutted when I broke the news about Ozzy to him) who always listens to Black fucking Sabbath.

If he would join "27 Club" with his lifestyle no one would be surprised. But he made it to 76! I'm not sad, he was a funny guy and I'm sure he would made fun even from his own funeral.

Rest in Power, Ozzy! Thanks for everything. Gonna be a Sabbath week...

When I heard, I didn't think it would affect me that much. Not a huge Sabbath or Ozzy fan compared to other bands. But the more I sit with this, the more his influence on the things I do love sinks in, and I find myself spinning Children of the Grave or Spiral Architect another time.

I had the same reactions when I was watching Back To The Beginning live stream. All those smiles and tears in the audience, singing these anthems in unison. Fuck, that's too much for me.

Also, I can't come over how lucky we all are to live when He lived.

Rest in peace, king of darkness. Thank you for all the music and devilishness. Will always remember your voice and poise.

And I am so... bewildered by the fact that he performed that last concert like two weeks before his passing, with such power still. Amazing. It was as if his spirit knew it couldn't bow out until he had had one last shout at the world. And a powerful shout it was.

I still can't believe he's gone. Like Lemmy, Dime and Hendrix he will be remembered forever in the future. RIP to a legend.

Ozzy, who grew up in Aston, sadly passed away late last month aged 76, having always held a special connection to the club and the community he came from.
