Overkill vocalist Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth confirmed in a recent interview with the 'Metal Mayhem ROC' podcast the band will be entering studio before the end of the year to commence recording their next album, due sometime in 2026. The follow-up to 2023's Scorched will be Overkill's first album with new drummer Jeramie Kling, who joined the band over a year ago.

Ellsworth says: "We're demoed out. Jeramie Kling's playing drums for us now. Jason Bittner moved on to other things… So we're just moving along as if there is no issue with D.D. We're going to start recording before the first of the year. We'll get some stuff done, I'm sure just the drum tracks; we're working on those as of right now. I'm just filling in the blanks with what the other dudes have done. And it's kind of business as usual at this point. So, no big news to report as of this moment, but tomorrow you never know."
