Fimbul Winter - the new Swedish melodic death metal band featuring three former members of Amon Amarth - have released a music video for their debut single "Mounds Of Stones". You can check it out below.

The band commented on their first single as follows: "'Mounds of Stones' tells the story of a figure shaped by suffering, who turns his pain into vengeance. He isn’t remembered by name, only by the blood and bones left behind."

The band’s upcoming debut EP What Once Was is scheduled for a November 14th release. According to a press release, the effort was "built on rediscovered riffs from the dawn of Amon Amarth, alongside brand-new compositions."

Fimbul Winter is:

- Vocals: Clint Williams (Nemesium, Dawn Of Retribution)
- Guitars: Anders Biazzi (ex-Amon Amarth)
- Guitars: Fredrik Andersson (ex-Amon Amarth)
- Drums: Niko Kaukinen (ex-Amon Amarth)
- Studio bassist Tobias Cristiansson (Necrophobic, Darkened, etc.)

Once Sent From The Golden Hall is my favorite Amon Amarth album. This is right up my alley. Damn, loved it.

AA were once one of my favorite bands, now they're but a shadow of what they once were, I'm hoping FW can bring some of that magic back.
