To be honest her statement is weird at best. She is leaving 'cos they got a replacement for her. BUT I actually spoke with Thomas about her and he said that she is having a health problems and she play whenever she can - like on a british tour. They don't want to force her - they will gave her the time she need. It was prettty obvious that they will play with a fill-in guitarist, and wait for Rhea's return. And she wrote on her statement that she was suprised

As for a bassist - Hewson is a band leader. He wrote the lyrics and he always had a last word on compositions. I don't believe he can be replaced.
