To call W.A.S.P. hair metal would be to lump them in with a lot of mindless rock coming out of L.A. in the 80's, that is why I do not call W.A.S.P. hair metal. Throughout this album there is a great mixture of fun, sleazy party-hard songs such as "Blind in Texas" and "Sex Drive," great fist pumping chant-along anthems such as "The Last Command" and "Running Wild in the Streets," a ballad like "Cries in the night," and even something that very few so called "hair metal" bands could achieve: an epic, which is the track "Widowmaker." It shows such a great combination of straightforward rock n roll with deeper more grandiose songs which is why I think this album is the pinnacle for Blackie & the boys. Read more ›› |

This is a really good album.  Even if it doesnt contain the volume of truly classic tracks that the debut had, or was a true monster like "The Headless Children"... lol

I wish quality be better, IMO WASP need re record WASP and this one for new whit better sound engenering

Never loved this one, I find it to be a bit too cheesy and nowhere near as memorable as the debut. But as I listen today I find it be quite alright, the only great is Widowmaker but there's some other nice stuff. I never understood how Blind in Texas was a hit...

Blind in Texas is a great song! Like the rest of the record. WASP managed to write 5 albums in a row with no real bad song at all. The weakest LP is ITEC but IMHO it´s still very good. The other four are just excellent! Faves: Wild Child, Fistful Of Diamonds, Widowmaker, Blind In Texas, Cries In The Night and The Last Command

This album is not on the same level as memorable songs from the debut album. Although the material is not as consistent as before, it is not weak. There are still several decent songs to enjoy. Wild Child, Widowmaker, and Cries In The Night stand out among the rest, while the remaining material ranges from average to good quality.
