SYL guitarist Jed Simon has issued the following update on the band's MySpace page:

"Hey!

The good folks at the Download Festival have put our entire set up for viewing.

I watched the whole thing again, and it still gives me goosebumps. That was an amazing event, and a great day. Thanks to all of you who were there to see us, and to those who weren't but enjoyed it anyway! Welcome to the family.

it reminded me of why i used to live Strapping Young Lad..
the first three albums are just fantastic, especially 'City' and 'SYL'
its such a shame about the last two though..

yeh - 'Far Beyond Metal'
but thats an old track of course. they all just seem so uninspired

IMO "Decimator" and "The New Black" weren't so bad either... but yeah, "Far Beyond Metal" is a real killer, although I think they tampered with it too much since the original live recording on "No Sleep 'till Bedtime"... I hate the added keys...
