Helrunar - Debut Another New Song


As the release of their new album approaches, black metal duo Helrunar have shared the second new song off of Niederkunfft. After "Devils, Devils Everywhere!", you can sit back, relax and enjoy the tune "Magdeburg Brennt" now here. According to the band, the lyrics describe the siege and annihilation of the town of Magdeburg by catholic troops, one of the greatest massacres of the Thirty Years' War.

Niederkunfft will be released by Lupus Lounge on March 3rd, 2015 in North America and February 27th in the rest of the world.

I listened to the album. It's not bad, but really not mind-blowing indeed.

Well, I think it is. I hadn't listened to any Helrunar in at least six years, and it wasn't an unpleasant listen at all. But I'd have to give them all a go again, the new once included, to tell you how good it is compared to the others. I do have a feeling it isn't much better, at least that is sure though.

Hey hey I don't want to curb your enthusiasm . It's a nice melodic black album, no more no less. The first song they releases was one of the best of the album, that way you can maybe have a better idea of how good or bad it is for you.

Decent track, though I start to get bored at about 2/3rds. Still planning to give the album a listen. That limited book edition looks very sexy :-P
