Fear Factory - Genexus

Fear Factory back with a real band and not only a duet supported by computers ! Sounds good to me !

Wonder how will it sound. "The Industrialist" wasn't very good for me.

Fear Factory continues to be a consistently great band churning out worthwhile records. They have a formula and it works; fans know what to expect. "Autonomous Combat System," "Regenerate," and "Expiration Date" are a few of my favorites here.

True. However, this album sounds even more industrial than any prior release. It might be the most solid one since Demanufacture as well.

Absolutely crushing album. great to hear real drumming.

Wow... Completely blew me away... What a fantastic blend of instruments and electronics. And those lyrics... Well, I will just stop here and give it a solid 9

Btw. "Genexus" and "Battle for Utopia" sounds like a hidden message from Dino to Herrera and Wolbers - "guys, with me as a main composer Transgression would be much better album"

Finally a album that I can say is Fear Factory.
Well done.

Definitely their best album since Archetype. It has a better flow than their last few albums for sure. No duds either, that's a plus in my book.

EDIT: You know what; fuck it. This is better than Archetype and maybe even better than Demanufacture. Strong contender for my AOTY

Come on, no offence meant but don't compare industrial pioneers like Fear Factory to these bands.

Haven't listened to the full album yet, but it sounds good, maybe no as fast as I expected, but really inspired. Lots of clear vocals and we know that Burton isn't so good at them live but who cares ?

I prefer much more brutal and barbaric music usually but this record is simpy addictive and great. I can't stop listening to Battle For Utopia. The main riff is crushing...

A great example of modern metal with a great theme (Anti-machine) and awesome songs and production "8.7"

Production is indeed top notch and overall id say this is Fear Factory's most consistent album yet.
Definitly contentder for album of the year imo
it seems this band as somehow ''Regenerated'' lmfao....

To me this sounds like every other Fear Factory release since Digimortal...which is not a good thing.

Another comeback But this is not better than the great Mechanize, but it is logic, being one of the best albums of their career, together with Demanufacture and Obsolete

Really good album, easily as solid as Mechanize or Archetype, but comparing it to Demanufacture or Obsolete seems a bit of a stretch, really...

This is the first time i hear Fear Factory - so i didn't really have anything else to compare to ;-)

I didn't feel offended, nor did you I hope But I've followed Fear Factory since 1995 maybe so I guess I'm a sort of longtime fan

I've been overly harsh and too quick to judge. The last 4 tracks are outstanding, and something a little different for them.

Mechanize sounds less cheesy to me for some reason even though this album sounds quite similar to it in general
