Latvian thrash metallers Huskvarn decided to call it a day in 2013, and in 2015 the band played their farewell concert. Now, they have decided to play again and use the original name Husqvarna.

Guitarist Jānis Levits decided to open a new chapter. He was in the band from 1989-1990, and was kicked out due to alcohol abuse. He asked old bassist Kaspars ?ers (1989-1991) and drummer Māris Balcers (1989-1993) to join him. Guitarist Edgars "Melnais" Ķauķis also agreed to play if necessary.

Husqvarna is searching for a vocalist because their lead singer Urbix, aka Normunds Stefenhagens (1989-2013), was not asked to be part of this.

So far, the group has 6 new songs ready but they are not planning to record a new album.
