Abut a minute in and am enjoying the track overall, but really miss the fuzz of their last.

Sounds awesome! Hopefully some tracks will feature the heavily distorted guitars of the first album.

I'd say the songwriting (at least from this one track) is definitely on par with the debut. Not sure if the song overall is as good as their previous stuff, but I guess that will have to be judged within the context of the full album.

Personally, I think this song hits harder than their previous album. I'm actually enjoying how clean it sounds

I like the two songs I've heard so far. I felt like the last album was just Warning Pt. 2. I feel like 40 Watt Sun found their own sound in these songs.

Except for the vocals it sounds quite different to the second Warning album.

I don't think what I was trying to say came out correctly (maybe it did). I just didn't think the first album sounded super different from Warning (not that that's a bad thing). I just think these songs DEFINITELY sound like something new compared to Warning. Like, if you told me The Inside Room had been a Warning album and not a 40 Watt Sun album, I could believe it.
