Obscure Sphinx - Epitaphs

Looking forward to it. Their second album was surprisingly good.

Got it in all mighty FLAC. Listening to it as I write. On my 2nd track. Love what I am hearing so far. Seems to be a continuation of Void Mother. Fine with me. I love this sound.

At this point, I slightly prefer Void Mother because the songs had a better flow there, I think. But I heard it just once, so you never know... One thing's for sure though, "Nieprawota" contains some of the heaviest moments in their discography.

I got to listen to it, but for sure this album will need a few more plays.

To me... This... And "Cult Of Luna" are up for best "Post Metal" of the year...if there are any other contenders... Please educate me...

Oops, forgot this one... It's seriously better than all of my recs

Only given this one spin so far but it seems a slight step down from Void Mother, which was an album I thoroughly enjoyed.

The heavy parts of this album are brilliant but the flow of the album seems a little off to me as the mellower parts really drag on at times for no apparent reason. Will have to give it a few more spins to see if it grows on me.

Never had a problem with Sphinx's style of music and it can be clearly seen in "Void Mother". The only thing that puts me incredibly off is offbeat vocals. I really feel it should be in conjunction with flow of music.

May be i don't know much of the dynamics of post-metal and how vocals fits in, but so far what i've heard from OS is very interesting music ruined by unconventional vox.

Loving it! I probably like it more than their previous album. The singer sounds really sweet when she does clean vocals this time around. The whole thing feels more melodic and groovy and it works.

One of the best moments of the year @ 2:22 on "At The Mouth Of The Surrounding Sea", dat riff. I'm not getting tired of this album easily.
