The band has been resurrected since last year with the name Carnivore A.D. I read somewhere that their shows are killer with the new bassist/vocalist.

One of those rare metal records where the humorous lyrics really are funny as hell instead of just embarrassing or childish. Peter Steele was the uncrowned king of dark humor. Thermonuclear Warrior, Male Supremacy and Carnivore are my favorite songs here.

Peter Steele! (that's almost as good a name as Jope of Steele)

Not one of the biggest genre classics, but it's quite unique and different sounding approach than many of their peers with some slower parts in songs and with longer lengths. Personally I think the song World Wars III & IV is the best one here and also a nice irony, and an insult (in a good way, that is), towards all the other HC and crossover bands who just play 1 minute songs, heh

A pretty fun crossover thrash album with ironic, over-the-top lyrics and plenty of dark humor which gives the band a unique edge. Peter Steele’s aggressive vocals, combined with the simple but effective songwriting really tie everything together.

Both Carnivore albums are fairly equal in quality but I’ve always preferred the debut. Its rough production actually works in its favor, enhancing the raw energy and primitive atmosphere.
Like a Thermonuclear Warrior who's seen World Wars III & IV and now fights during Armageddon like a Predator against the Legion of Doom.
