Standard but well done modern black metal as expected.

Very impressive cover-art indeed, the music itself is pretty decent aswel, it's solid disso-black material. However, it doesn't quite captivate me in the same way other band's from across the Icelandic BM scene have done recently. The vocals are great, they're evilly passionate, and the production is of a high quality standard, but it just seems to be missing that all important spark and wow factor. The last two tracks stand-out for me due to the intensely powerful build-ups, but even they take some getting into before reaching that point.
