Is it just me or does Anette look like she is turning in to Tarja?

Possible actually, haha.
I have a conspiracy theory that nobody can prove/disprove - what if The Dark Element was formed to counter Nightwish after Anette was fired? I assume that because most of the material you hear on both albums is basically DPP or Imaginaerium part II.

For the second album they apparently decided to rip off both Nightwish and themselves.

On an unrelated note, a lot of videos seem to be filmed in disused warehouses. This is the third time Dark Element have used one.

I remember they held an interview where they explained that due to costs savings, they just shot the videos in Patric Ullaeus' warehouse - I assume it's the same case this time.

That would explain why so many videos seem to be in the same warehouse. Still beats standing on the front lawn of a castle though.

I suppose you refer to Rhapsody of Fire's videos?

Seems like the band is on a mission. "We can do Nightwish better than Nightwish"

Definitely Anette-era Nightwish. The second album at my first listening seems quite bland though. I was expecting more from them.

Nothing wrong with the album but it's pretty samey, and retreads a lot of the ground from the first album. It's fine but if they want to keep this project going (and they should!) then they need to do something different.

This could be what Nightwish could have been with Annete

Yes it's the same old same old but sometimes that isn't so bad... Yes i like slayer and mgla lols

All I can say is lol. The accent is horrendous, the synth is cringy and it's overall full of power/pop cliches. Sorry...

Very unoriginal album - Delain / Nightwish clone without being as interesting as either of the two.
Some interesting parts but feel like I've heard it all before in the above 2 mentioned bands.

Well, so sad that they could do anything better, but they kept the same formula as the two Anette NW albums. Not that the style is bad, but for the facts I had hopes of something better, especially when the first album was really nice.

I really wanted this to be good but sadly it is just bland

As fantastic as debut.

It's not a bad one but I prefer the debut one. There's a few hightlights and Annette and Jani are both still good at what they do, but overall it feels conventional. I miss the raw energy behind the first album.
