Hatesphere - Vocalist Left The Band, Stream Cover Of Dio's Song

Death/thrash metal unit Hatesphere have checked in with an update. Danish metallers confirmed that vocalist Esben Elnegaard Kjær Hansen has decided to leave the band to pursue other music projects. Replacing him (on future live activities) will be Michael Olsson (Blood Eagle, Defacing God). In addition to this news, the band present a cover of Dio's "Stand Up And Shout" song, featured on the Japanese edition of Reduced To Flesh record.

Statement from Hatesphere: "While the pandemic races across the globe the Hatesphere camp have had its own share of 'events'. Esse has decided to leave the band to pursue other projects. People age, priorities shift and so forth...but fear not. To help us out with future live shows (in 2024???) we've borrowed the very talented and vicious front beast Michael Olsson (Blood Eagle, Defacing God, Caro) so vocal duties are in very capable hands and we're looking forward to sharing the stage with him. We can't wait to get back on the road but for now we sit and wait for the world to open up again. To make the waiting a bit more bearable we've chosen to release our cover of Dio's "Stand Up And Shout" to the world. This track has previously only been available on the Japanese edition of Reduced To Flesh.

"Even though we're not currently looking for a new permanent vocalist we are however spending this worldwide lockdown writing material for our 11th album. In the meantime blast "Stand Up And Shout" and crack open a cold one. We wish you all a happy quarantine and we'll see you on the other side."

Crap really. Is the vocalist not able to hold notes? The way the words abruptly end makes the sound song weird, but not in a good way. Solo was good, that was it for me, personally.

Probably, the most interesting I've heard from them in a long time, and it's not even theirs.
Cheers.
