In a recent interview with Motor.de, Rammstein keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz confirmed that the band has already recorded a new studio album, which follows 2019's self-titled output. The recordings took place at the Studios La Fabrique, located in Saint-Rémy de Provence (south of France).

Statement from Lorenz as follows: The fact that we can't play live has increased our creativity. We had more time to think about new things and there were fewer distractions. We then recorded a new album that we hadn't even planned."

I'll admit I liked the last album but I hope this one hit's hard. I want some more Benzin, Puppe, Buckstabu and Wiener Blut.

Indeed, the reason I like (old) Rammstein is that the songs have something on their own that gives each one their identity. It's not like we are simply listening to an average metal album, where most of the time we don't even care enough to know the songs names. Rammstein used to be that band where I listened to a song and was like 'oh, this is song x, it goes like this'. It doesn't need to be anything super innovative, just songwriting is enough.

The last albums tho... Felt more like album-oriented than song-oriented, so it was basically an average neue deutsche harte metal album... Like Eisbrecher, or Megaherz.

Give me dem good songs again.

I used to be a huge fan but they haven't really clicked with me in the same way for while. So, I think it is about time I try and rekindle my relationship with them. So, I will check this out for sure. I always appreciate the bands which have a long career, as so many other bands do just come-and-go.
