That's an unexpected and pretty unusual comparison. In my opinion, Sieniestro's punkish blackened thrash has absolutely nothing in common with my favorite Danes' doom/death. I can't even hear a remote resemblance.

Please elaborate. I'm really curious to know where Siniestro reminded you of Saturnus.

I'm a neoclassical speed freak. Some of the sounds and grooves reminded me of them. To me Sieniestro sounded a bit sludgy. I always disliked Alice in Chains, and the grunge era. So i can easily pick it up, that sound in almost all 1 4 5 music. It's a specter of blues, that haunts
every note of every scale.

Can't just like something, and say it reminds you of this?

I also play guitar. So tempo doesn't really matter to me. If a riff it played in double time, is the same riff that is played in half time. If there is one riff, one melody, one drum section that reminds me of another band, so be it. a 1 second passage or a 100 second passage.

I'm not starting a fight. I'm not new to metal storm. Just never posted much. But there doesn't "need" to have an explanation of what I recognize.

Setting in to Air Raid this morning. It's got an Yngwie, Hammerfall sound to it. It's good. But sounds like Yngwie Jr. I got through about 4 songs. I guess what I am getting at. Impressions are abstract. The overall product might not be reflective of the section I identified with. I guess you could call me non binary metal head. I always liked the Medley's.

I like talking about music, so keep me in line. I also have not kept up with splintering genres and their names and qualities. Everything is hard rock to me.
