Is this the way trve metalheads enjoy pop music?

It was fun trying to recognize the songs again (of course I've heard them all at some point on the radio). And since the melodies are nice and I'm now used to black metal vocals, this is unironically enjoyable

I've often been asked by non-metalheads "how can you listen to metal? You can't dance to that!"
Now I will point them to this - 'cause this sure is dancing metal music!

I admit I enjoyed this at first listen, but after listening again the novelty has quickly worn off, just like a drunken party I guess, it's fun while it lasts, but then it gets a bit tiresome and you begin to regret it. At least in my experience anyway.
I would still listen to this all day long though, rather than Torture myself listening to the original atrocious pop crap.

Definitely not the worst gimmick album ever; some of the songs transfer better than others. did find myself getting a bit tired of it before the album had finished, but I'd listen to some of the songs here again

Oh god. I don't hate it...

I REALLY expected myself to hate this album. I am the anti-fun police. But it's seriously so well done it's hard to hate. The Britney Spears cover is insane.

Legit still can't get over how great this is. No chance that any other metal album will get more plays out of me this year.

Hm, I dunno. I think this wears off really quickly.
For me the initial charm was guessing the original song titles, but once you hear the chorus, you already know the entire rest of every song. There are no surprises and no songwriting skills when the core of it all is some other artist's composition and familiar pop music you've already heard way too often. Some tracks (e.g."Baby") are fun, others I skipped right after or during the first chorus.
Sure, it's in the nature of cover versions to bring nothing fundamentaly new on the table, but this is so predictable that it hurts.

It is the most hilarious metal album I have ever listened to. Especially the track no. 7 and 11. make me fall in love with old pop music. This album is the perfect renditions of elapsed pop songs in a blackened way.
