I do like Ozzy's debut Blizzard Of Ozz a lot, but I have to go with Dio's Holy Diver, for me it's in a league of it's own!

Ozzy's debut has a handful of timeless classic songs, but other than those it's pretty forgettable album. Dio's debut is way better overall.

Dio wins first album, but Ozzy for sure beats him in the sophomore department.

Ozzy first albums has much higher value as later ones, but they are not so hight level value records as first 5 BS, Same goes for Dio, but that case also Rainbow are high value, but from debuts I prefer Dio,

I think Blizzard of Ozz is the better album, there are a ridiculous amount of killer riffs on it and it is experimental in all the best ways. All these small details really elevate the album for me, for instance vibraslap on Crazy Train, trumpet on Goodbye to Romance, which is btw probably my favorite ballad of all time. Holy Diver is amazing too, and frankly, I think both albums are superior to any Black Sabbath album.

These 2 albums are great but i prefer Blizzard of ozz without any doubt. For the second album its the opposite for me. Dio was best in rainbow - rising or in black sabbath - heaven and hell in my opinion.

Definitely a tough pick. I love both albums, but I would say that Ozzy had an advantage in Randy Rhoads over Viv Campbell.
