Finally, the new King Diamond album is out and it's great! Wait, did I say King Diamond? I meant Attic of course. Oopsie

It's most certainly inspired by King Diamond but it's still a pretty entertaining album I'd say despite the lack of originality. In terms of how KG impersonators go he pretty much has it nailed.

This is King Diamond in modern studio, modern sound mix, digital music and less horrible screams, anyway to me its rip off album, but I prefer this as what they copy.

If you like King Diamond you should definitely check this out. Norhing wrong with copycats if they're really good at it. Icon Of Sin copying Iron Maiden and early Soen and Wheel copying Tool also comes to mind.

Yes nothing wrong but I never liked KD , but I like this one, better. Maybe one day I will listen KD compilation

A King Diamond clone does not interest me much, also BE's cringe post makes me think I'd better stay away.

There are a few Tool inspired bands I listen to from time to time, Wheel goes a bit beyond being a Tool clone though. Nice band.

I know it but I dont like his voice, way he sings , way he change vocal tones. I have read lyrics to all KD and MF albums and listened in my teens .

He "changes" his vocals because he's doing characters, he's telling a story.
Go listen to Abigail, if you don't like that, don't bother at all.

I've seen this band @ Wacken '22 - they actually made me to change my original concert-list plans as I was walking past the stage @ which they were playing, they were THAT good! And I have to admit it was a great idea to put them on roster since MF were playing at this very festival as well. Although Attic still have to 'grow' into bigger stage shows, they're an absolute delight for MF/KD fans as their material stands relatively well next to the highly-praised original. However, if you don't fancy KD/MF, I'd remove 60-70% weight from this recommendation

Early Soen is Tool worship, this was intended to be, the Martin Lopez even admits it, but later they become more more melodic, Tool doesn't go for the choruses as Soen

It has a lot KD in it, but I wouldn´t call them a copy for there are a lot of elements KD never used. If asked I would say KD with a good portion of Melo Death.

All together a perfect album with a great vocalist and mix of extreme and heavy metal. Amazing live band btw..

EDIT: Talked to Max yesterday and he aproved that one of their main influence is Dissection. Listen and focus on the music alone. There is more extreme metal in it then heavy metal.
