Funny football game Marocko vs Argentina, seems Marocko had some ultras, Olympic comitee won't be happy. I don't care about Olympic football and rugby 7. I better eat h rugby leuge where are 13 play, but I prefer union where are 15.
Basketball, handball, volleyball will be my top team sports, but I lile watter sports are cannot, rowing and those disciplines, that in heavy stream where you do slalom is great.
BMX is good, sometimes cycling in velodrome. I will watch what I can.

Besides that, how many olympians do you guys think will get inffected with at least one dissease from swimming in the Seine? I think at least 40%

In first day(if we dont count team sports) Sweden has one medal already Bronze on female judo. Can we have gold? Arman Duplantis in stick jumping or what it calls, if he wont do it it would be tragedy, he is best in the world atm

Handball is only team sport and men handball I say group is hard same as other one, but Japan is to do and Slovenia to, others Germany, Spain Croatia can be hard nutts
I dont know, last 2 WC and EC was good, but here if we go to semis all can be good

Well, we are going to delete one of the two topics and keep, as well as possibly rename, the other, right? Now, since the one at hand (BE's) already got more posts, I suggest we keep this one and delete the other (Paris 2024). If we want to save the two comments by Cynic and you over there, I suggest you just copy/paste your comment into here, and we could ask Cynic to do the same. Or am I missing sth?

Cynic didn't know that this thread existed even after doing search result because the TOPIC TITLE is VAGUE. I agree with Nejde, this thread should be deleted(with immediate effect) because Cynic's one is more precise and can be found by quick search result.

Which was a nice one btw, though I am not too sure how much of their playing actually reached my ears -- there were too many multiple performances overlaying at the time, or at least so it appeared to me.

What bothered me were all the TV commentators who kept talking over the performance. Thankfully, there are some videos now in circulation where they only have the recorded audio of the performance. Sounds so great!

Gojira's performance was more or less the only thing I saw from the opening ceremony and it was pretty cool. It would have been better if they had Gorod and Alcest performing too 😁

I also saw a short clip with Dionysus looking like a smurf that looked fucking ridiculous.

That's exactly what I said in the now deleted topic. Sad that they don't know when to shut up. You don't see the commentators talking during the half time show during Super Bowl. But hopefully Gojira will release the song with studio quality so we can enjoy it properly.

France went too weak with Gojira. No disrespect to them, but I was waiting for Anal Cunt to make the presence of the opening ceremony congenial.

I don't know about you, but Swimming in the Olympics started incredibly great - major upsets coming from American swimmers who fiercely dominate the pool. Murphy lost in the 100m backstroke, For e.g., Titmus lost Women's 200m Freestyle to Australian champion Callaghan(also setting a new OR).

I was watching at work yesterday whit co workers artistic moves. Weird sport, get bored after 30 minutes, but we did not do half as we should, was better watch as work since non had an interest to working.

Just read an article that the Olympic fire that is burning isn't a real fire, it's steam lit up by spotlights to make it look like a fire. The real fire which always starts its journey to the hosting city from Olympia in Greece is extinguished. The "fire" that is "burning" now is symbolic apparently and it's the true Olympic fire according to a spokesperson for the Paris games. What a load of bullcrap.

The biggest upset in the olympics so far. Swede Truls Möregårdh beats the world #1, Wang Chuqin, in the last 16 of the table tennis tournament. The Chinese had hardly lost a game in ages. It gave me Jan-Ove Waldner vibes when he won gold in Barcelona '92 breaking the Chinese dominance. Hope Möregårdh goes all the way now, winning the gold.

The biggest upset in the olympics so far. Swede Truls Möregårdh beats the world #1, Wang Chuqin, in the last 16 of the table tennis tournament.

I watched the whole match. Truls played his heart out and trapped Wang's on his errors. Wang got beaten by playing under pressure and thereby lost the last two sets. It wasn't even the close contested match.

Truls eyeing gold now. The only obstacle now is to face Zhendong.

Great game by Möregårdh in the final against superstar Fan Zhendong, even though he lost. Zhendong was ruthless and showed why he is the reigning world champion twice in a row. But all the respect to Möregårdh coming into the tournament as #26 on the world ranking and making it all the way to the final. Very entertaining match, but unfortunately the wrong player won. Still, hats off to Zhendong. Worthy winner.
