Turnstile keep shedding more of the "hardcore" part of their sound, something that was already a predictable trajectory, but also one that dives even deeper in pop adjacent styles.

Okay that track was pretty sweet (not a hardcore song ).

Maybe there is some hope left for this album.

Pre-ordered the vinyl

I should do the same... What colour variant did you order? I’m torn between purple and black & red

I pre-ordered the Periwinkle Purple variant at my local store cost less for me with the change rate in Canada cost a lot if I ordered from the USA or Europe. And at the local store the shipping is free once the minimum amount is reached (100$)

There has to be at least 15 minutes of interludes on this album, wtf?

A little too jumbled and spaced out for me. I do really like “Look Out For Me” and I wish the album stayed more along those lines. IMO it would be in their best interest to drop any punk/hardcore sound they have remaining versus sprinkling it in here and there like on this album. The vocals feel a bit lazy and little too much OohhhOOOHHHOhhhOhhh. Maybe it will grow on me with a few more listens.

Agree with everything above. It’s a fun album and has some nice catchy hooks and I like the production a lot but it’s all over the place and really inconsistent between the good moments and the bad. Look Out for Me and Sole are easily the standouts for me.

It was a natural for this album to be all indie rock/dreampop or whatever minus a few hardcore songs and bits, you could see the change coming from the the last two albums. I think I liked glow on better as it was a better ratio being mid transition from earlier hardcore albums to this.

This album is a vibe. I can see this being blasted in a skatepark in Venice Beach or something. The actual hardcore songs aren't very exciting but the dreamy jam sections are delish.

I'm assuming their older albums sound nothing like this, as I'm hearing more indie-pop than hardcore.

Glow On already was not your typical hc album... Heck, did you hear a cowbell in any other album in this genre lol But just like no one pointed out, this release is a natural development of their typical sound formula. I don't find it that different, like other people seems to feel.

I just listened to 'Birds' and it's on point. It's unapologetic, yet somehow it still puts you in a good mood – perfect after a rough Monday at work. I definitely need to listen to the whole album.

I can't quite work out whether I like this album or not. I feel like I need to see them live to understand them a little better.

I like indie-pop and dream-pop, but I'm not sure I like it mashed with metal and hardcore.

FYI, on prime and apple tv there is a music video for the whole album to complete the experience. It's a 14-song visual album after all.

I've found myself playing it a lot this week. It's really won me over.

I've noticed they're playing a London festival in the summer, but the lineup looks quite dancey so hopefully they'll play a few other shows around that date.

^^ I would go regardless of the line-up.

Also, I recently found out this little concert and wow, what a fine new arrangements! Trumpet, saxophone and piano is life.

PS. Lol for the crowd surfing in the office

I just can't get enough of this album...

I dont have an issue with festivals, just don't like the look of that one.

There's another with Deftones, Amyl & The Sniffers and Idles so it's a shame they're not playing that instead.

Why would a pop-rock band play with punk and metal bands
