Oh well, Spain was overwhelming from the very beginning. In fact Germany played just like in the group stage, so I was surprised Spain didn't win any higher. Congrats to them and good luck on Sunday

What a match! I am really looking forward to watching Sunday's game and I have to admit I indeed didn't believe Spain could make it to the final! I do support 'la furia' , though, so I'm very happy for them. I also hope it's gonna be an unforgettable final, no matter who actually turns out to be the winner. Being a world champion of football is surely a good thing and I'm proud that this time, it's going to be an European team. I guess both teams will have to play very well and precise, just like the German and Spanish guys did. However, Spain's players performed a lot better using their own, typical style. This way, they proved how they are able to beat anyone like that. On Sunday, Dutch players, as well as Spanish ones should be aware of penalties and such stuff. I also guess that playing defensive wouldn't be a good choice. I wish both teams good luck!

Otherwise, I'd like to congratulate Uruguay on the way they fought. Men, you've got an awesome spirit! Uruguay's players left the stadium with pride, not like Brazilians and Argentinians did. I think Uruguayans did their best and gave away 100% of themselves in the name of the game. Once again, congratulations on all those great-hearted Uruguayan players and their fans!

There is not much to be said about Netherlands' players - they are simply good enough and well-prepared. Most of them are part of big, famous European clubs in which they have achieved a lot. It was obvious that The Netherlands would win. Soo, good luck to them, too!

I agree about Uruguay, the match with Netherlands was something to be proud of, no matter if the latter won. Both sides score some fantastic goals and you should be proud, as I said. Kudos for Netherlands as well, the first goal was simply amazing. You should also count on these opportunities when playing against Spain. However, Casillas is definitely one of the best goalkeepers, and it is going to be hard to outsmart him.
About the match between Spain and Germany, I think the better team won. Still, the German team proved themselves and I'm sure that they will be unbeatable in the next World Cup.

there was clear tactical orders - "we have to play total defense"...but goddamn! team with best offensive power playing total defense against team with scoring average 1 goal pro match?

Damn Spanish. They are so boring. Like I said: pass, pass, pass up to the 18 yard box then mess about and achieve nothing. They had a 2 on 1 after Torres came on and it was an easy pass to put him in, a certain goal... and they couldn't do it! From a really good team that was really poor. Eventually Puyol just thought "fuck this you pussies, I'm going in old school" and scores a simple header. At least when Germany break they actually intend to score hahaha.

I hope Holland win the final now, I can't believe Spain have got so far by fannying about.

Overall this has been a pretty boring world cup.

i say they would play quite awesome, if opponent team let them...but obviously - any team facing them is going total defense...and not even Barcelona was able to get through Mourinho's total defense...it is hard, especially when opposing team is skilled enough and knows how to defend...

i saw it yesterday - there were couple of awesome passes, but there was always German player terminating it in time...

and about Puyol - i so love such a players - not any "big star with manners", not so visible, but so much hard working for the team...players like Puyol, Gattuso, Arévalo...respect to them

I'm still trying to assimilate the fact that we're in a World Cup final. A World Cup final. That's totally new to me. Congratulations to both Spain and the Netherlands who are the deserved champion and finalist, we'll see in what order.

Spain finally had its best performance, due to the fact that out-of-shape Torres wasn't on the starting eleven. I'm particularly impressed by the style Piqué and Alonso showed. What a display of b*lls! They were able to stop Özil's and Podolski's counter-attacks EVERY TIME. Trochowski proved himself an unreliable sub for Müller, which is one of the reasons why Germany played so much worse than usual, as he was unable to outsmart Capdevila. The icing on the cake is that our goalie is nobody else than St. Iker Casillas.

I'm not overconfident about next Sunday's game, I'm not scared either, and I would not mind losing to the Netherlands. Netherlanders have won all of their matches and deserve a World Cup already, while this is the first time for us. I hope they will show as much respect and sportsmanship as the German gentlemen did so far.

No, really, I hope we win. But if Spain wins (and wins with good football!), they deserve it and I can (learn to) live with that. You guys have fantastic players, but so far haven't really reached your max potential. Just like us.

Its funny, the 2 best teams never to have won the world cup are in the final. lol Its also funny, and incredible, that Spain and Holland have never played each other in the world cup, or euros before. :\

A Dutch victory with the King of Spain watching will surely be exploited as a meaningful symbolic moment by European tabloids.

I thought the game yesterday was very good. I like Spain, many of their players and the way they play. But I was actually hoping for Uruguay in the finals, since Eguren play(ed) for AIK we get money for each day he's in the world cup. Ah well, the bronze game is Saturday and the final Sunday. That's just 1000 euros less.

And yes, 1000 euros each day is a lot for a Swedish team. Especially since it's up around 50 000 euros now.
