Do you like female vocalist in metal bands?

I remember having this conversation in the early 2000s when this was becoming more widespread. These days, I pretty much don't care as long as it's good. Male, female whatever, I just don't care... as long as its good. That said, I do find female death growls a little jarring sometimes (some people do it well, but it is definitely quite rare amongst women)

I usually prefer female vocals in music but i feel like I find more high quality bands with male vocals. But the notion that women can’t convey certain emotions in metal is such a smooth brained way of thinking.

This is definitely something I agree with. There may be some emotions expressed better by some men than some women, but the opposite is also true. It just depends on the individual vocalist. As I said, male, female, whatever - I just don't care as long as it's good.
