He's the current drummer of the technical death metal band Nile. You can listen to a couple of solos from him, he has an amazing speed.

Don't know if he is currently the fastest but Dream Theater's Mike Mangini held the world record for the most single strokes in one minute. This drum solo of his is one of the best drum performances I've ever seen.

I mean, that Kollias is fast as lightning, yes, but he's fucking awful (imo, sure): originality zero. Same for that guy in Cryptopsy and many many others specially in that kind of genres... You'd better play like Neil Peart or Lombardo or Minnemann or Nicko McBrain or... Just my opinion
