ERA, i believe they had a song for the soccerr world cup during the last world cup that shot em to fame? and yeah, ERA as in the band with the weird chants and whta not. i wont really call it folk, becuase they arent useing any folk instruments. i was thinking a different genre of rock becuase enigma was considered rock, though i disagreed with it. but if htey were rock, why arent these guys? at the same time, they have some electronic stuff going on here and there. like thier drums are not real drums. and then the voices are sometimes computerized.

my friend says they would be considered synthetic atmospheric music.

About Era... I'd rather say they're New Age. You know, kinda mystic, singing in imaginary languages (it sounds like Latin but I'm pretty sure it's not), close to nature and spirituality... Try Deep Forest if you like them (much better IMO, even if that's definitely not my favourite musical genre).

About June 21st I'll probably be on the beach listening to and watching a local guitar picking band (like every year... :) These guys are really good!!

Seems people who in normal day dont care about football, in WC games followh how playt national team, I know some germans do it and you, but better what thay done and what makes me smile after planty months is wictory about Brazil.

Studies (oral examination in Physics on Monday morning)... But exams will be over at the end of next week

I'm not really demonstrative either, but I was surprised to see no discussion running in this thread since it's THE topic you can't avoid at the moment :. Even in the place where I've been staying for 2 weeks of exams, which is a religious hearth (couldn't find anything better-located nor cheaper) we have been discuting the subject with nuns

it means in France unversaty studens exames are even in july it sounds strage, my last exame was in 14th june

Well, it's a bit special: those aren't university exams to get a degree or whatever, but to enter another school (engineer schools or vet schools in my case). Problem is there are many candidates so it takes time to correct everything, then the 1700/800 (1700 for agro engineer schools, 800 for vet) 1st ones sit for the oral exams, which takes even more time... : And within 2 weeks I should have the final results

Sekhmet poor you, when I make my exames to get to uni, it was hell in summer, I try get to geography, history, politics and dunno in english, I dont gte into last 3 and almouts not in historical faculty, becaus eyear befor ethere go study maybe 100 people, in year when thay was 600, so 300 was out, my poor grammer text, I was somewhere 266, but well after extra test I get, trgen you my freind General Franco, I told so damn good about his bio than thay take me in

But waiting test results, do you know how manny bottles og tequilla I drink on those 3 weeks?

When I watch a football game with french people (if the french team is playing that is), I feel like the only sober guy when everyone is drunk. Everyone seem very excited but I can't really feel that.
Though I remember in 1998 the game brazil denmark, I saw it on a huge screen in a park in Odense and there I had that feeling. With the french team that never worked :/

Of course the language isn't different, but the way you speak is. And even if my accent is rather weak, almost unnoticeable, I'm sure it's gonna contrast in Toulouse (refering to wrath's post).

When I was watching TV I only hear old people speek whit soem acent, alos I know how sounds course, but Nornmandy and that area I think thay shood speek whit acent to

Well, as far as I know, canadian french has a very different accent and it's not so good as french accent. Swiss french has some different things, for example counting: in France you say 80: quatre-vingt and in some regions of the french Switzerland you say: huitante. In France you say 90: quatre-vingt-dix, in the french Switzerland you say nonante. And well, of course there are different accents. That's what I know about these differences
