Been listening to this album a lot lately. It's definitely interesting but I am surprised with all of the 10's and first place on the charts right now.

well Iranian people are probably proud of this band and are over-rating it , as an Iranian I'm quite familiar with this concept xD

You mean to say THIS album is overrated ? what planet are you living in.. ? nobody knows of them, completely in the dark. Compared to the rest of the crap on that top 20 list this one stands tall. It has some genuine musicianship and imagination to it that can't be found on any other of those records. Well deserved! This is my album of the year by far

You seem to understand about this album a lot...tell me, how does this sounds like? Can you explain me?

It's a daring mix of metal, rock, post rock, shoegaze, ambient and so on. I really have no idea what to call it. It's a journey, not a product of a genre.
One of the most stunning things about this album is actually how they made all these styles blend into one cohesive album. I've never heard anything like it.

I'm not saying they are overrated , actually they deserve the attention they are getting . I just said it's no wonder people are giving it 10s ...
well it's "your" album of the year .. not everyone's .

It's colossal. Like billions of stars in the distance.
It's multilayer. Like giant web of galaxies.
It's unhurried. Like double star spinning around it's own axis.
It's majestic. Like tens of satellites rising above horizon.
It's cold. Like dead worlds where no life will ever be.
And it's personal. Like last glance at your own home.

By the way, I've just remembered a classic soliloquy from Blade Runner:
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to die."
Pretty much describes this music too:)

Very nice description thanks, i see that this is amazing! at least you love it, but i see people saying that this is overrated, but i guess that's for haters or closed-mind babies! This music is for men, not for children!

Good album but i missed slumber....

I dont like this dont think that it should be at fist place of the chart

I was expecting a lot caz i just love fallout....i doesnt have that slumber feel so im a lil disappointed..but a nice album..

This kind of music is hard to define indeed, but I like it very much ! Even more than what the bandmembers did with Slumber actually.
"Resonance" is a bit boring, but the rest is truly amazing. "Rainmen" is just majestic !
I can't wait for the follow-up.

On Facebook, they translated it like this:

"An axe to the head,
We walk to the night,
Bringing down the sun."

Almost an average one to me.
Of course there are adsorbent moments for me through the album,
but overall it's not the best it could be IMO.
Anyway, you can just feel the "slumber-taste" here and there.
The melodies, mix and mastering, intervals and many other things,
but this album is more smoother than Fallout.
It has more electronic-generated sounds and less real instruments.
(I consider keyboards an electronic instrument.)
Anyway, overall it's good,
but there are few parts that you'll remember somewhere in your mind.

The translation I posted here, was my translation of the original Farsi lyrics.
So I guess the one you wrote is a better one

Totally impressed! Even though I no longer listen to Fallout or doom metal in general, this debut from post-Slumber band is really amazing.

That is one bleak outlook from a 7 year old!!!!!!!

After a proper listen I must say it's a great album , really enjoyable . but not a masterpiece

Here it is:

He said it is written by his 7 year old cousin when he asked her to describe her feelings about the end of the world. It's exactly her words.

And for our non-Persian friends, i would translate the words:

Wait were these written by a 7 years old?
Man maybe they should keep an eye on that kid...

This is just awesome, some tracks are really unforgettable.

I like this, but really this album is about as metal as wood! It surprises me that something like this is on MS when considering some of the blacklisted bands.

If you can't "hear" the metal in this, put the brutal death metal down and expand your metal genre(s) tastes...

Liking this album, always a sucker for anything relevant to 'Space' or space inspired atmospheres etc.

Interested in listening to the mentioned 'Slumber' as well...

I'm not saying that should be removed. This is metal, not denying that. But some stuff on the blacklist is just as metal as this. So why add AtomA and not, say, "Fejd"? Both have metal roots and heavy non-metal influences.

Ahhh, sorry for sounding so rash their man. Agree with your reply. Sometimes myself I don't get the rules or guidelines on this site for what constitutes metal or non.

I swear; the band picture was the same one of The Chant some time ago. did the staff messed up???
