Gruesome - Savage Land

It's obviously hugely inspired by Death's Leprosy but that's not an issue at all in my eyes as I've heard many albums inspired by that album in the past, many of which have been pretty solid too, and that also includes this one.

It’s unabashed Death worship but dammit it’s good Death worship.

I want to give this album respect, obviously a lot of effort went into recreating the songwriting from the Leprosy album. Like most sequels (or remakes?), it`s often just a repeat of what made the original successful without the charm and I feel somewhat unsatisfied after the fact. I guess if you aren`t familiar with Death`s catalogue, this would be pretty cool stuff
