@ Matt and Jodie: Just awesome

I suppose this is the right place to rant about the Aussie Open - Novak didn't deserve to win at all, he is seen as the 'Dark Horse' of the competition as it is and behaves like an absolute moron on the court, arrogant beyond belief. Not pro player material at all.

I could agree with you to some degree there, but I don't like Tsonga much so I don't really care what Djokovic did on the court provided he won. And let's face it, Novak behaved better than a lot of other players did. *cough* Lleyton Hewitt *cough* Andy Roddick *cough* Marat Safin *cough*

Haha, true, true, although I'd rather see Hewitt or Safin win instead of Djokovic. Roddick is on the same level as Djokovic though, with regards to arrogance and whatnot, IMO

EDIT: Where the bloody hell was Haas?! He could have done well in this...

I'm not a fan of Lleyton whatsoever, even though he's Aussie. I think the way he carries himself is totally disgraceful, considering the legacy of sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct that our previous champion player Pat Rafter left for him. Safin is kinda cool, but a nutter, and Djokovic is a bit mad too but a damn good tennis player. And as for Tommy Haas, I have no idea why he didn't appear this time around.

I gotta agree with Judas. I personally don't like Lleyton Hewitt simply because of the way he conducts himself on the court. Although while Djokovic is a bit arrogant himself too, he played well throughout the tournament and deserved the win.

As for Tsonga, I was hoping that he would win but he's still a young player so his still got plenty of opportunities ahead of him, as does Djokovic also.

I'd wager that Haas would give Djokovic, Tsonga, et al. a run for their money. Hell, he might have even given Federer trouble, since he "looked like he saw a ghost" in this Aussie Open. I'm not a fan of Lleyton either, but I'd still rather him over Djokovic, any day

As Jodie said, we have most done. Got to finish off a bit in morning, mainly kitchen stuff and essentials. Dad is coming up with the truck from Port tomorrow afternoon.

The place as a whole is relaxing, its just out of town in the bush pretty much, with a short walk down the front of the property onto the Hastings River (great fishing, especially Flathead). Its solar power, but dad put in more panels, which runs a fair bit, only bad on consecutive overcast days, but still can use the generator. He also put in 2 more water. Going to take a couple of months to get our bit setup though, have to extend part of the house. Its a really nice property, cant wait to move.

After this and all the other shit, I feel like I am going fukking crazy.

i know man, i know

so what happened anyways?
from what i gather, you girlfriend, fucked things up?

i partly know how your feeling,

Well, at least you've learned a lesson - do not ever "give up everything" for a woman, especially a nineteen year old that wants kids. Asking for trouble.

Still, shitty news for you .

@Jodie - How did the move to Port go? Hope you've had some time to settle in.

Iron Maiden for me tomorrow. Can't wait. First Melbourne show is on tonight. Not sure if anyone else knows about this already but the first Melbourne show is being filmed by the same guys that brought Metal: A Headbangers Journey and will be featured on another upcoming documentary.

On another note, did anyone else see Nightwish last week? I thought it was a good performance, although I'm still indifferent to Anette's stage presence. Everyone else I know seemed to love it though

@Matt, Jodie: How's the Port Macquarie life treating you so far?

@Eternal Flames: I went to see Nightwish, I quite enjoyed it, and Anette did a decent enough job with the older songs to almost allow me to forget about Tarja. As for her stage presence, well, she was pretty good in Brisbane, the energy levels were quite high, and her looks don't do her too much harm either. Marco was the star though, he has such a kickass stage personality.

IRON MAIDEN IN 5 DAYS!

Yeah, I'm going to the Sunday gig. Is Behind Crimson Eyes playing first? Because even though I'm getting more and more into hardcore, I've heard nothing but bad things about that band.

Hopefully that site will continue to grow. Most of the purely Australian metal sites nowadays are rarely updated.

By the way, don't want to spoil the show for anyone, but Iron Maiden were bloody incredible the other night in Melbourne. Absolutely spectacular performance. Great setlist as well and the crowd was nuts. Great lighting, sound and the performance was just unbelievable.
