@ Black Winter : u know, before islam, ppl (of arabia) worshiped pagods. didnt know god. just some statues. so it is right when rushdie (?!) says: 'allah' is a mix of the name of two ancient arabian pagods. - How many messengers did we have in history ? @ The_Black_God : I didnt blame; did I ?! personally I hate all forms of religions, all stupid satan-lovers included. Religion is only for weak and stupid individuals not able to stand for their own. @ Judas : Ofcourse i know that wasnt the first religion but the 1st one that talked about the next world. why didnt anyone say this before him ?

23.05.2008 - 22:57 Written by Mosquiller on 23.05.2008 at 01:25 look the word 'allah' has nothing to do with islam it is just an arabic word that means god,see even arab jews and christians used the word 'allah' before islam hope it's clear, anyway it has no importance since it's a linguistic issue where the word came from. -in the quran there was 25 apostles mentionned but of course that does not mean that they are the only apostles ever existed coz God says in the Quran "We did aforetime send apostles before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee."

I've read that the conservative parties kind of dominated legislative elections (even by prohibiting campaigning to the opponents in some regions :|), I hope your country will manage to get out of this. Why is religion still this strong (and often violent) there?

Just read from a paper that a 16 year old Afgani girl was brutally stabbed repeatedly to death by her own beloved 23 year old brother.... The issue was that the family had moved to Hamburg, GERMANY from Afganistan already when the girl was three....they had lived in Germany for years....the girl had grown up amongst German children and of course she didn't care bout islam nor stuff and wanted to live a normal European life just as her friends who were born in Germany....the issue was that the family didn't approve and said that it's a sin to adapt to the perverse way of life of Europe and the mom and dad even sent the girl to live in Afganistan for a while hoping that she'd learn to love and adore the real and righteous Afgani way of life.... For sure the girl preferred the European way of life....she was harrassed and beaten at home all the time...she ran away from the home and appealed to the police many times but she changed her mind and asked her family not to be punished because she simply loved them too much to see them being in jail.... The result...after being out again with friends, wearing the AWFUL European clothes and living the oh-so-perverse European life she was again beaten by her dad and then her brother Ahmad asked her to go out with him to a parking lot where he butchered the girl... Dunno whether the guy was caught or not....the parents attempted in the beginning to fake sorrow but then it turned out that they had approved the murder themselves...after all...they had raised their son to be a murderer....the aunt of the girl claimed that "It's the girl's own fault. She deserved it because she dared to follow the Western ways and denied her fatherland roots." It's bout the thing that a woman must be murdered like an animal if she "violates the pride of the family"....said to be very common in islamic societies.... Which makes us think....are the muslims able to adapt to the European society? But then again....aren't we Europeans the same....we've got pedophiles and fathers making children with their own daughters.....

03.06.2008 - 10:47 Written by Ernis on 01.06.2008 at 19:22 Let's remember, that Islam mostly has nothing to do with some acts and beliefs, that people have in dark societies,it is actually due to their own traditions,to take Afghanistan for example,a country that had been isolated from the outside world for a long time, these pride things are common,so is drug dealing, planting, and consumption, can we then consider Opium as due to Islam? I personally condemn such acts, and I am sure all sane muslims do, this shows how religion can be wrongly interpreted and violently hijacked.

Christian was so weaker than Muslims before Fall of Churchs for sure, but after that, Christian improved and Muslims became weaker, until now you can see what a gap is between these two...

04.06.2008 - 23:09 Written by Ernis on 03.06.2008 at 18:01 I think there are two problem with Islam, which are a little bit the same: first, there is no organisation, so everybody can interprete the Coran as he wishes, what means freedom for the most horrible and stupid things, second, the Coran is almost worshiped as THE truth and contains some horrible things about womens, the djihad etc... so even if it was a great modernisation and quite "feminist" when it was written, it is now absolutely unacceptable but always pretends to rule the whole society. You can say that there are also cruel things in the Ancient Testament, but christians don't take it as a rule for living And then, it realy piss me off tajt you can say nothing about Islam: in islamic countries, you can be killed if making fun of Mohamed, in our western societies, everyone calls you an horrible xenophobe if you only show how bothering for the society gets Islam when forbidding the immigrants to adopte the western uses. Everyone can say what he wants about Christianity, but Islam is so intolerant that evrey islamist rebels when feeling shocked in his faith!

05.06.2008 - 17:46 Written by Dagorwen on 04.06.2008 at 23:09 In our religion, there are some things that can be improved or altered if there is some new circumstances that oblige new rules, based on the third source of the Sheria, which is Ijtihad, that means in english, making an intellectual effort, to create new rules that did not exist,or change some old ones.So that this way,Islam can not get old or anything. You make a good point, about not having a central organization, there are actally many, one of them is The World Islamic Council of which the president is Yusuf Alkaradawi, who is a man I deeply respect and most of muslims who know him do,but the problem is that such people don't get attention at all,the media concentrates more on extremists that the simple minded people started to think that it is correct islam, people adopt extremist views because they think that it will give them extra faith and that the more extremist they get the better muslims they become,it is true and these thoughts are fed by the the bad political and economical conditions in many muslim countries, plus the feeling of persecution among many muslims because they feel frustrated and helpless in front some political conditions like the backed up existance of the state of israel and the suffering from dictatorships in certain countries. You would not probably feel surprized if I tell you the intolerant is not islam itself, but you would feel so when I tell you that back in time like 1000 years ago, muslim society was more tolerant than it is now,in means of faith, you could for example find some philosophers who doubt the existance of God and get their books published, you could find some poets who write anti-religious poems without getting killed for it.Even before 11/09, there were anti-religious poems published without getting much attention, but since that incident, many westerns became hostile towards islam, and many muslims started to join,as a reflexive action, the extremists camp, the media concentrates on extremists, giving them more and more publication. I can not deny that there is a problem with muslims today, but not to generalyze, there are many moderate countries but I hope bit by bit people will start to see again the true meanings of islam, and from my personal observance, muslims are going in this direction.

yes, I read some persian poetry about wine and lust, it was great! I'm not sure it would be still authorized in some extremist countries. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the "Satanic verses" were censored in many islamic countries before the 11/O9, so persecutions against free thought are not that new (but raised in the 20th century, you're right, islamic countries were mor tolerant when they were richer and mightier. so we could analyse extremism as a way to "protect" a culture and country groing weaker, also to protest against the amiracnization of the world. I have nothing against tolerant islam in traditionnal islamic countries, but when I see more and more womens wearing a veil, and more islamic communities becoming quite agressive in my country, I'm quite pissed off. What do you personnaly think about the veil? isnt' it a sign of women's submission, womens as possessions of their husband?

Scandinavia + Britain make half of the respected metal. and then other countries like germany, france, portugal, italy. america is more powerful in thrash metal and death metal, which today death metal is improved in europe. we can do everything in Metal without america. in doom, gothic, black, death, progressive, industrial, heavy and other genres europe has better bands by far than america. it was just music, in other fields again is same, and good go agree with that america is using other country's powers. like hiring japaneese, persian, chineese, russian, spainsh and other country's smart people..

06.06.2008 - 12:12 Written by Dagorwen on 05.06.2008 at 18:57 yes. Satanic Verses are written by Salman Rushdie. who right now is in France (and England). this book is about a real event, that Prophect Muhammad in a place got some of Quran verses by Satan, and then he understood that those verses are by Satan, then removed them. and some other stories are in this book which mostly are horror. i'm so happy to see someone exactly with same idea with me... and remember don't mix iranians with other muslims. because literature Iran is one of the greatest in the world's history, while other muslim countries are so poor in literature. anyone who is disagree with me we can discuss but be sure that the person who is against iran's literature will fall before us... even if i wasn't a persian i would defend that... Hakeem Ferdowsi (my prophet), Hafez, Sa'di, Molavi, Nezaami, Khayyam, Attar and so on. in all fields. love, epic, eulogy, history, science, even erotic (iraj Mirzaa) iran has the best poets. i said that because iran is counted an arab country by some of people which really makes us sick.

I heard about a great female warrior in iranian history (or mythilogy, I don't know) who is a kind of national heroin. Could you tell me her name (and her story if it's not asking too much) and what about Rumi? his poetry is great! I think true black metal heart is Scandinavia and now eastern Europe too! for gothic, German rule!

06.06.2008 - 20:13 Written by Dagorwen on 06.06.2008 at 15:10 Quote: I also get pissed of when I see the acts of some muslims in europe believe me,but you should know that maybe the reason behind this is their ignorance, since most of the immigrant population are people who failed in having a position in their country, but still, you can check for example your universities where educated muslims get sent to persue their education,I have a lot of friends studying HEC in France and a lot more studying in Heidelberg and Hannover in Germany, they have not told me about embarassing things happening from the educated arab and muslim people but they don't deny the acts of some other ignorants. But still I don't agree with about the veil, because.. Quote: Yes I agree with you,but it's a deeply passive way to express protest,it makes those who adopt it look even more pathetic and vulnerable, curiously our bac exam today countained a text that deals with this very issue,it's about arabs still living on the memory of the past and being to proud to take full benefit of other nations evolution,it is just ridiculous. Quote: The veil is not an essential thing in faith,I consider forcing women to wear the veil is a sign of opression but for her chosing to wear the veil (wether she is married or not) is I think acceptable,I personally don't care too much about the veil, because based on the goals of the sheria, the reason why the veil was mentionned is first of all to protect women and to make them have a proper decent look, but today,I think a woman can be a muslim and look proper and decent without wearing the veil, actaully there is a sheikh called Taher Bin Achour who is an explainer of the Quran, who said that the veil could not be seen as an essential thing in Islam,I don't know enough other opinions on this matter but our gouvernment adopt his view of the Quran and makes rules to prohibit the wearing of the veil in constitutions, which I am also against because I like to leave freedom for every woman to decide for herself without being pushed away by the gouvernment nor pushed into it by sciety. @ Hamird Why should anyone deny persian contribution to the world in many fields, actually I think that muslim civilization could have nor reached what theyt have reached in the past without taking benefits from other nations, actually not nation in the world achived a thing without translating others works and building on them,no people can stay closed on himself and be satisfied only by their own work because it will get them no where.Yes there some people who think all arabs are muslims and vice versa but it's because they don't know. Still, no one can deny either the contribution of arabs in literature, not to mention medecine,astronomy.. All of us know for example 'The Devine Comedy' but very little people know that it was based on the translation of the arabic thinker Abul Ala Alma'ari masterpiece 'Resalat Alghoufran(english:The message of forgiveness)'.. By the way,I am not a fan either of the US metal at all and I think Agalloch is the most and one among few good metal bands from there, well, there my fav bands list speaks for me..

Talking historically here, do many Islamic countries remain proud of their pre-Islamic heritage? Besides the obvious example of Egypt, I know that Iran still holds the Zoroastrian Empire of Ancient Persia in very high esteem; many Central Asian nations claim Zoroaster/Zarathustra/Zartosht as being born in their land even though they are now Islamic countries, and even Pakistan and Afghanistan (pre-Taliban) maintain(ed) historical sites which are linked to pre-Islamic cultures (e.g. Indus Valley sites and Taxila ruins in Pakistan, Buddhas of Bamiyan in Afghanistan which are currently being rebuilt after the Taliban destroyed them). Turkey had the Hittites and the Byzantines, Tunisia had Carthage, Iraq had Sumeria and Babylon... Still proud, or is more emphasis put on the Islamic era?

And good to understand that my personal opinions is not related to my country's political situation and I am not IR's president here. i hate IR too, and if i say i don't like america's music doesn't mean that i hate america's people and country so know this and don't continue this cheap discussion any more... talk about your Islam
