Now the most exciting phase of the Cup has started... the playoffs confrontations

Hopefully my dear Uruguay will reach semi-finals. o/ Sure only possible due to the equilibrated confrontation with USA or Ghana in the Quarter-finals... a final is just beyond Uruguay's capacity, but reach the semi-finals and possibly a 3rd place would be a nice revival of the consecrated past

By the way, I know it's too early to talk about that but I have a feeling that this year's World Champion will be a South American team. There are few other teams from different continents (mainly Europe) who are able to make a difference.

I'm pretty anxious about the quarter finals of Argentina v Germany. There's still a lot of bad blood because of that brawl four years ago. I truly hope the Argentinians will be better losers this time around.

I consider the Maracanazo one of the best moments in the history of football... A repetition in 2014 wouldn't be bad.. as long as Brazil win this year XD.

Samba... not a huge fan really... mixed with Jazz and something good come out sometimes...

Slovakia lost fair and square, they had 4 EXCELLENT chances to score but Vitek unfortunately was "scared" to score or something. my guess is that he was too "omg holy shit the ball actually came through to me what do i do now?" to send the ball in the net as he was supposed to do.

Oh man, I don't think I've laughed this much in years. A friend called me after the last game. He was crying. He was screaming.

91 minutes into the game he betted 5 000 SEK (that's 500 euros!!!) on that there would be no more goals during the game.

And we all remember what Slovakia did barely a minute later...

I've been laughing for half an hour, my cheeks hurt, my tears are flowing.

HAHAHAHA!!!

I have no hope for this evening's match... Chile playing at best can't beat Brazil playing at worse... And with our best defenders out, we will leak behind. This can sound mediocre and conformist, but I'm already glad having won two games in a world cup, something that didn't happen since 1962. Anyway, I hope our players shut me up.

Sorry, but Chile has played better at this World Cup than Brasil up to now. So my hopes are high. Come on Chile.

We play well against ultra-defenssive teams like the Swiss or Honduras, but when a good team like Spain wanted to hurt us, they did it without problems. They didn't score more goals only because the 2-1 was good for both and we kinda signed a pact of no agression.
And this Brazil isn't playing well but Brazil NEVER plays well in the group stage, now is when they show their cathegory.

Brasil also plays very defensively currently so you gotquite a chance. I think it's a 50-50 chance for you guys.

Ned 2-1 Svk
I dunno IMO it was boring, but its not like prev games wheb outside was less 20 degries cloudy, today was about +30 my mind was alswhere, and Ned won game, thay could scorer more, defenders was good, its hard brake it , maybe its Ned year ... Nederland win at ''home'' place what was yourse years ago

But such penalty , in end shood not hepen, who knows when you can get yellow for delight time and

Well.. I must say... Chile totally give this game away.

Until Juan's goal the game was in a tense equilibrium, Brazil being dominated in the passing for several minutes. But it happen to Chile the same thing that happen to Mexico yesterday... the team crumbles after taking a goal. Sure, the absence of Ponce and Medel in the defense made things worse for Chile... nothing worked today.

On Brazil's side, Dunga get right when putting Daniel Alves and Ramirez to play. Althou I think Dani should play supporting Maicon on the right, cuz the more I watch his games, the more I see that he cannot play in the midfield. Bad news is that Ramirez stupidly kicked an adversary and received a second yellow card, now Elano will be back to face Netherlands.. -__-'

@Valentin B: Yeah!! \o/
@Southern Wind hey dude. Chile play nice. I was waiting for a high fault maker guys, but they played with heart. Do not surrender any minute. Congratz =D Guys like Valdivia will increase the Chile football level.

I'm am kinda happy with South America. Uruguay is back!
Lugano is a badass defender.

But for Brazil....Now the world cup begins!!!!! I win my bet on this game: Brazil 3x0 Chile
I hope the goddamn Brazil is unleashed now... Just need Elano to come back and things will be good. We gonna play cool again. Even Michel Bastos played today.
But Luis Fabiano, Robinho doesn't play ANYTHING... ok, they score but well... you know. I wanna see this guys scoring in high defensive teams.
Kaká is smiling too much and playing regular... but he is rising, i can feel it.

Against Netherlands will be classic. It will be the time the team will show if they are really ready for another Cup Trophy.

Chile 0-3 Brazil
Chile could win this game, thay playw ell till let ball in and than .... dunno what but Brazil is not so good to, there wholes ewery where, Chile could make it, but thay give away, but I doubt its be better Chile vs Por

Nederlands vs Brazil
Same like Ger-Arg can hepen all, but both teams has week parts, coachges shood fix it and find how brake other team defense and belive me its posisble, because Brazilian team isnt unbeatible, if Ned score 1th and play well in defense lil like Italia thay could win , depends who score 1th

I don't see Chile giving it up.
But I do see their defense doing an awful job.

They attacked till the end...but well, there is a lion called Lucio there...and you know.... even el mago could not do anything about it hehehe
