i agree with that, even not my favorite band, korn has an original style in nu metal i also agree they sounds fresh, they have energy but i think it was on their firsts albums, cause they have been sounding like a little boring lately, but, sometimes i think they're playing the same song in all over the album

I really disagree on everyone bashing their latest albums. I own all Korn's albums and I can't say for any of them to sound repetitive. It is true that Untouchables was quite a leap in their sound, and so it See You On The Other Side, because both albums are much more melodic than Korn and Issues , while Freak On A Leash was IMO some sort of mixture of their old, tzpical and new, at that time developing sound, though it was more leaning to the old direction.

I understand though people listening Korn and not liking Untouchables and SYOTOS, because it happens to me sometimes as well that I just can't accept the band's new sound, but still, both albums are really diverse, very well produced and techinally flawless.

And even though I'm not a teen I can still relate to Korn's lyrics and I don't find them silly and angsty. It's completely normal to feel frustrated and angry from time to time, and besides, Korn's lyrics is much more than that (Hollow Life).

@PhoeNNix: maybe this sound in SYOTOS is only a "transition". There's a big difference between Untouchables and TALITM, and between TALITM and SYOTOS. So, maybe Korn's next album will have these aggressive sound from the first two albums and TALITM, or maybe a new sound.

And yea, you're right, maybe it just is a stage... And to be honest, I'd love to hear them do a more agressive, ''old-Korn-style'' album again, as I'm currently back to loving Issues. Bands usually (!) mature and I do think that a new album with ''old'' sound would be a kickass.

A good band, it got me closer to metal in my juvenile years, and is one of the few nu metal bands, which i enjoy listening, because they always leave a mark in their audience, and i like the fact that yes... the are the quientessencial nu-metal band, they don't try to make themselves something bigger or different, they just do what they know and very good, numetal music...

Korn is the band that brought me to the real metal; I'll never forget that.

I like Korn quite a lot and don't really understand why everybody always bitches about them. I find their music very different from all other 'nu-metal' bands and thier videos are great to.

Yeah that's a really cool video and the track is great to...but don't watch the video if you have hangovers I like the video for 'Did My Time' as well...lovely outfit Angelina Jolie is wearing

I like KoRn, not enough to buy the albums, though. I have downloaded some stuff and I like it, their videos are cool, Jonathan has a great, powerfull voice and they have a lot of energy (Check Somebody's Someone video). I don't care if everyone seems to hat them 8Like Slipknot), I like them

My Korn albums have been sitting at a pawn shop for years now

Their first self-titled album is a 10/10 masterpiece... one of the angriest albums ever, with an incredibly raw feeling on all the songs... the production also fits perfectly with all that fury...

yes, i agree... their first album are inspired a lot... but korn are losing attractions because of their few last albums, that aren't so brilliant...

I really love "Untouchables" also. The album has a killer sound, the arrangements are innovative and the melodies memorable.

'Untouchables' seems to be the one that most people hate, It's actually one of my faves too. Just incredibly atmospheric and different from all their other stuff.

I'm so glad to see that I'm not alone! I like Untouchables too (especially Alone I Break - good lyrics) and can't understand why so many KoRn fans hate it. But my favourite is still Follow the Leader. I agree that SYOTOS was a disappointment, it took me a long time till I got used to it...
I saw KoRn live, once, in Prague. It was a massacre, I'm glad that I survived . KoRn male fans are totally crazy - but that's good . Great show. I was deaf for a week after it. Jon's bagpipes were too loud, imho

Jonathan Davis - Unleashes Himself From Korn For Solo Outing :

For the first time since Korn formed almost 15 years ago, Jonathan Davis is hitting the road without his core band.

Instead, the Davis tour launching in February will feature the singer performing alongside the four musicians who backed Korn on tour this year. The backing musicians performed guitar, piano, backup vocals and percussion.

"I'm gonna do it more in the style of a lounge thing," Davis said Monday. "I'll be playing KORN songs, the 'Queen of the Damned' [soundtrack] stuff I did and a lot of different covers. When I was growing up, my dad played in a couple of bands where they just went around different clubs and played covers. It's just going to be fun."

Although he's venturing outside of Korn for the tour, Davis says he has no plans for a solo album.

"The closest thing [I've done to a solo album] was the 'Queen of the Damned' stuff and if I were to [record something solo] again, it'd be something like that," Davis said. "Maybe some day when it's right, but I don't want to distract from Korn. I don't want people to think there's problems with the band. I'm just trying to have fun while the other guys are relaxing or working on their own records or whatever."

Things are so good with Korn, in fact, the band is already jumping back in the studio to work on its eighth proper album.

"We start today," Davis said. "We're just going to be riffing out and compiling ideas. Whenever we came off the road, we went right into the studio, so we have six or seven songs done and we're going to work on some more."

Once enough songs are written, Korn will take them to the Matrix or Atticus Ross, the producers behind last year's "See You on the Other Side".

"It's really aggressive, just weird sounds," Davis said of the songs that have been worked on so far. "It's hard to tell right now 'cause they're in demo form, but the overall vibe is it's a lot heavier. It's not See You on the Other Side Part 2."

In the meantime, Korn just released "Chopped, Screwed, Live & Unglued", a collection of "See You on the Other Side", featuring tracks chopped and screwed by Michael "5000" Watts as well as some live and acoustic material.

"We had the whole album chopped and screwed, but I picked some key songs because it was too much," Davis said.

As Davis' health ? he was hospitalized this summer with a rare immune disease ? the singer says he's doing great.

"[In] my last test, my platelets were sustained, leveling out to normal, so it's looking like the disease I had is acute, which means it happens only once. If it comes back, the worst-case scenario is they take my spleen out. It's not like a death sentence or nothing, so I'm happy."

I think I once saw a video of this guys of Davis's "new band", those guys using rabbit, horse and other animals' masks. I wish this don't affect Korn as a band.

Korn is without doubt one of the best bands out there, I love them ... haha, I can't do it really. I hate Korn, their afwul music gives me headache and that singer, where the hell did he found that horrbile voice?

When I was younger I used to listen this band a lot, I liked almost all the songs, and well, still I like them, but not so much like before, anyways I think they're quite an enjoyable band

I have just listen to this album and it is awesome. Jonathan has a talent voice (no doubt about this ) also he has a song with Amy Lee that fits that song very well. I remember my first ever music video about korn that was Freak on A Leash. Great video that i ever saw.

I totally agree with you. Jonathan's voice was amazing in this album, but for me the most enjoyable thing was the whole instrumentation, it was a really good set of weird instruments, and these fit perfectly with Korn unplugged songs. About Amy, I prefer her voice in studio albums, her voice live lacks of strenght, but the song wasn't that bad, but I liked more "Make me bad" with The Cure. Simply awesome. The cover of Radiohead's "Creep" was also really cool.

I really liked this album, I have some unplugged versions of a couple of songs, but the MTV Unplugged versions are much better.

i almost cried when i've heard the unplugged. and i'm not joking. it was horrible. Korn died in 2002, i don't know why doesn't they realise it. they should step back, and let someone else do the stupid, embarissing stuff.
