Cradle Of Filth

I missed the Cradle of Filth concert here in Sweden a month ago, Dani was in a really bad mood apparently. Or maybe he was just as he always is? Dani Filth is one of my favourite singers and I love his work on the albums, but I don't like his style, he is not at all an charismatic front man of the band. I know, that maybe doesn't fit in their image but still, you shouldn't be angry and swear to the audience/fans.

This song has by far Dani's worst vocals and it's actually so bad I had to turn it off shortly after a minute passed.

And that's the problem with all Cradle of Filth haters. They never actually listen to the band and they base their opinions merely on CoF's sucky image.
Sorry dude, but it's hard to take your opinion seriously if you admit that you haven't heard more than a minute of this song.

I'm not a Cradle of Filth hater. I like Dusk and Her Embrace and some material previous to that album, but they've been going downhill ever since. I did not judge that song completely on the fact that his vocals are horrible. The instruments weren't anything special either. Like I said before, it almost sounds generic, which is unusual for this band.

Have you listened to the song?

I cannot say that I like COF, neither I dislike them... The good about this band is that they change a litle bit their style in every new release, but the bad thing about them is that they advertise themselves-especially Dani- so much with useless stuff like ringtones, dolls and I don't know what else... They seem to me like beeing the Iron Maiden of black metal...

I fucking love this shit man... Greta band, those lyrics and vocals are freken amazing ...

the song isnt all that good, as majority of it is just the chorus over and over again. but the female vocalist has an interesting voice

She is called Dirty Harry or Harry. She is a U.K. Pop artist. This song is not theirs; it is a cover from a synthpop English band called Heaven 17.

I will control the temptation of buying this album right away for I know that they will release a motherfucking Special Edition CD after some months, just watch.

Edit:

Harry does not sound as a regular Pop artist.

Definitely, but that is what I read: that she is an U.K. Pop artist. Her voice (even her name) fits better for a Rock style music or something. If the source from where I took that information is inaccurate it is beyond my knowledge and fault.

Wow, their album has just been released and you already can find that video for download. My, they are really famous.

its the release date of the new Cradle Of Filth album here today, and for the firsrt time i am not going out to buy one of their new albums
i have listened to the new album maybe twice, and i cant stand it
well i can stand it - but you know what i mean. i think its the worst album they have ever done - i wasnt a big fan of 'Nymphetamine' but i think i prefer that to this!

Hope it is not worse than Nymphetamine, that is although a brilliant album IMO but it is the bands least good release ... so hope the new album is better than Nymphetamine

Bunch of posers in my opinion. I can't stand this type of "black", symphonic dark extreme gothic or however you want call it.
Musically maybe they are good (I don't spend my time listening to them) but the message I get through their image has told me enough, I prefer the mystic and really extreme True Norvegian Black Metal.

Thornography is bad, by far their worse and least inspired, Dani's vocals are monotone and unvaried and so is the songwriting... and consider this as a comment by a big CoF fan

I dunno but I hear one song of them in italian rock radio, IMO it was from new album and it was bad my ears was in pain when I listen it, worst what i hear from them, better thay split up how contunue how now

yeh, well Cradle Of Filth is Dani's creation so he is always going to be stuff under the name Cradle Of Filth - which i dont particularly like, as the stuff he is doing now is dragging the same name that made 'Cruelty And The Beast' and 'V Empire' and such masterpieces through the mud

yeah and I like the first albums too but I also like the new ones. I have only heard the song Dirge Inferno from the new album and I liked it.

I guess I am the only one here that likes the new stuff from them.

@the dark goddess - Maybe I had hear this song too, my italian language are werry poor, but older ist clasic, I wish time stand still and nothing dont change, but last album well from CoF first 4 are great, but then something gone lil wrong but then Nyhmphetamine itv was/are awsome

I don't think she is there though I could swear that i read that she was going to be in it.

I own Thornography and there isn't Liv, too bad!
There are less female backing vocals in new Cradle albums, and Thornography has got Sarah Jezebel Deva as usual...
Anyway, there's a duet Dani Filth / Ville Valo in the song "The Byronic Man", very good song, though Ville sings for about 30 seconds...

Well, Temptation is a cover, and I think it isn't representative of Thornography...

yep. i know the original -so it was really weird hearing Cradle Of Filth cover it
i really wouldnt have covered something like that - but because it is weird and different, it is probably the highlight of the album for me
shame they couldnt arouse my interest with a song they wrote
