I'm thinking Mastodon for Zaph's but none of the other clues really fit...

Except they totally do fit if you remember what their albums used to draw inspiration from...

I guess I'll go Mastodon - Remission, then, seeing as that album is supposedly about fire =P I see what you mean about "element" now.

Icarus burning - "Oblivion" is basically the story of Icarus.
The last element created - This album was themed around air, it was the last element they had to do.
By the extinct beast. - Mastodons are extinct.

You massively overrate my interest in lyrics and album's concepts =P I barely know Mastodon either, though.

Anyway, I'm counting that as a win

Well, only the first line referred to the lyrics really. Everyone knows Mastodon based their first albums around the elements. And I never said it was an easy one But yeah, I guess you won since no one else even came close.

Well, sorry then. I guess my knowledge of Mastodon goes further than most fans (which makes sense I suppose)

Yeah they're one of the first bands I ever saw live, they're ridiculously entertaining on stage, you should watch some vids. I should listen to their stuff it's been literally years. I even think I nine'd one of their albums back in the day.
