I disagree first that WC should be hold in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay , Uruguay whit opening and final in Centralio where all begun. One game also can be played in Porto Alagre, closest Brazilian town to area.

Game was good, Spain did all better and tock out all French chances, closed mid field and defense. I did not thought ther ebe early goal, but Spain used it and score penalthy. Haha, yeah, sorry for not contributing in this thread. I've also been following the World Cup, don't worry! But, I haven't been too active on Metal Storm because of my new uni job that I started in January. I was also recently on a business trip and came back with a bad case of bronchitis.

Now, I'm starting to feel better again, and with many of my colleagues taking a summer break, I hope I have a bit more free time for Metal Storm. I'm thinking of starting with reviewing some of my favorite albums that are still missing reviews. And maybe I'll start working on new music too.

Spain drew against Cabo Verde is the same team who mesmerized us with such a stunning display of football against a team who preaches “pushes back” and fails to implement in a most important match.

France wasn’t in the match not more than a 2+ minutes and Spain was glancing all over the football field to make some incredible moves.

Spain deserves to be in final.

However, we are 15 minutes away from Argentina vs England

Good game, tensions was high as in mid 90's derby (I have witnessed OSFP-PAO, PAOK- Aris, Legia-Polonia, Lazio-Roma, River-Boca, you name it high risk derby on TV in the days, atmosfere was tense and high. His intent not always been scoring rather than putting Argentina upfront and lately with a powerpack line up in the form of Tagliafico, L Martínez, Romero, Molina, Parades, Gonzalez - things smoothen from his end in assisting rather than carrying a baggage(score goals) with Otamendi and De Maria and winning the world cup.

The best World Cup game I've seen in a while! 10 goals! A nail-biter seeing whether France could catch up - and they almost did! But England wins bronze with 6:4 in the end. Great game

Cup than playing a friendly match for UNICEF. I was prescient of shabby performances seeing France and England dumped out in the semis by the superior teams. In the end, it served as a generous dose of entertainment divvied out to first-time viewers and US soccer fans learning to adapt to the football game.

I find football in general boring to watch these days so rarely ever watch it at all tbh. I did manage to watch some of the Arg vs Eng game though but I found England's predictable every man back behind the ball and defend the 1-0 lead tactic painful to watch. It's proven to only work against mediocre teams so it was inevitable Arg would create enough chances to take back the lead. Unless you have an unbelievable defense that is impossible to penetrate, like Italy had in the 90s, I prefer it when teams simply give it a go and play attacking football and lose gracefully whilst giving a thrilling end-to-end game in the process.

It could just me, but England would've likely lost either way so I'd rather see England come out and attack and play with a bit of flair and passion and lose instead of playing boring defense tactics and lose. Maybe that's why from a spectators point of view France vs Eng was the most thrilling match, it seemed both teams had nothing to lose, they didn't have the enormous pressure of reaching the final and so they just went for it.

On a side note the last world cup I found somewhat enjoyable was 2006, my favorite from what I can remember was 1998.
