"After 10 years, we have to close the chapter Fall Of Serenity. In the last weeks we thought, after almost splitting up in 2008, we could go on doing the next record - at least after a break from playing live. But something unexpected happened just this week. Our singer John will join the band Deadlock on the bass position. These circumstances, and the global warming, make it impossible to go on. So we felt that we, including John, should finally end it. We wish John good luck and thank him for everything. Also a big thanks to all our supporters and foremost to our great fans. Thank you! Three of us will continue with a new project, so there is a chance to see our ugly faces somewhere in the future again. Bye, bye!"

It's much more fun to put forward global warming as a reason for disbanding than blaming it on boring musical differences. Shame the band disbanded though. The bright side is that they quit on an amazing album (The Crossfire). Which reminds me that I haven't listened to this album for a long time. Gonna fix that now.

"The Crossfire" is indeed an amazing album and was by far one of the best gothenburg/melodic death releases of 2007 (Detonation's "Emission Phase" comes second). It's a shame they're gone, the genre could use some more similar stand out releases...

Global warming... Cattle production and consumption is responsible for 40% of emissions every cow produces 3-4 times the amount of emissions that the average car does on the road. IMO above any other lifestyle choices, power or fuel usage, if you complain or are concerned about global warming, but you are not vegetarian.. then this is hypocrisy

I'm wondering if those who get all started about nominating this for the Best Drama in the Awards realize that this is most probably a joke, and anyway this is no drama material. There's no shit thrown at anyone, no lawyers involved, no band name issues, no evisceration of a band member's mother, just a band stopping their activity because their singer quits.
