I found this a little overrated : / ... just feel like this album would be better without the metal...

Just got this and I like it. I think its just fine as well and the metal with it is awesome. I have always liked classical/romantic music and metal as well from a very young age so both of these fused together so perfectly is awesome. If you like both of these styles I mentioned you will most certainly love this album. The metal in it is awesome btw

This album is a killer. I cant follow the discussion "with/without the metal". There is no question "with or without the metal" here. This is an excellent symphonic metal album. By that it is a composition of elements of classic music and metal. I cant find any weak moments on this album. Highlights: In a pale moons shadow, origin of a chrystal soul.

Quite a well written album, but its biggest problem are the musical styles not fitting at places (imo of course), and the sudden transitions between them. The song In A Pale Moon's Shadows is the worst offender for this, the classic parts and metal parts are both awesome, but transitions are too crude at parts especially where drums stop, and I lose the coherence, and tempo of the song. Constant changes just result in a chaotic mess. Some transitions on the other hand are perfect.
