Heaven And Hell - All Summer Dates Cancelled

Heaven And Hell are forced to cancel all upcoming summer dates in Europe, including their headlining show at Bloodstock Open Air's 10th anniversary festival, Nova Rock and all Sonisphere dates.

The following statement has been posted on Tony Iommi's website: "We have to announce that all forthcoming Heaven And Hell European shows have been cancelled as sadly Ronnie isn't well enough to tour this summer. We hope that everyone understands and want to thank fans and industry colleagues for their continuing support at this time."

Last year Ronnie James Dio was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Read more here.

Not surprising really - the summer dates seemed on the optimistic side from the start.

Hope Dio are on the way to a full and complete recovery...

I they get a good replacement. Halford for the Swedish Sonisphere, for example!

I think it was a stupid decision for them to book all these shows when they didn't know Ronnie would be 100% better by the time.

Bloodstock will need to find another headliner now.

Well, we had it coming I guess, it was too good to be true...Agree with Baz, they shouldn't have made the commitment in the first place, not with Ronnie's condition...It was gonna be the first time I see Ronnie live, and definitely one of the reasons I got myself a ticket for the Sonisphere show, but Ronnie's all that's important now - all my best wishes!!!

Still, I hope a replacement will be announced...

Well, this was pretty obvious since the beginning, Ronnie has cancer, not a simple headache...

Imo it would have been somewhat of a disgrace to see them play before The Big 4 of Thrash.

i might be idealistic here, but i think in terms of musical quality and influence, it's those 4 bands who should open for H&H, and definitely not the other way around.
