Kalmah - They Will Return

Kslmah produced this album with in six weeks which itself is phenomenon especially when it is one of their best effort.. Hollow Heart and kill the idealist are in my opinion the best kalmah songs till to date

Amazing album ! IMO They Will Return (song) is a masterpiece !

This album is Great! Kalmah's 2nd best album IMO, better than Swamplord, yet not as good as Swampsong. And also the song "The Blind Leader" has got the most intense fast paced high energy solo in History!! Be shure to check out that song!!!

A bit awesome, why it works because its energetic and young men believe sin idea what they do, they stick whit smaps and shit like its only true thing and they believe make it work, specially mixed whit young men rage and energy

Great album, better then their first in my opinion, but the Skin O' My Teeth, not only is a pretty weak cover but doesn't feat well at all with the rest of the album

Better than the debut. Better production and tighter riffs & soloing. Still some repetitive generic songs in between.

This is almost deserving of a 10 because every song is a banger. "The Blind Leader" is so, so good.

This is a wonderfully made album, I always preferred it to the debut. This band always strived for a more epically melodic approach to C.O.B. always adding a folkish vibe to things. I'm not sure if I would say Kalmah are overall better than C.O.B. but I certainly found them more interesting to listen to.

The title track from this album is so incredible after all these years. It still excites me so much with the main melody on the verses and that fucking solo is hmmmm * chef's kiss *

I think this is where they peaked. I remember my cousin introducing me to this album when it was new and my mind was blown instantly. It's more or less the same as the debut, but with better production, tighter riffs, etc. Everything here is better, and the debut is also a great album.

Great album. Loved the cover song as well.

My favorite piano melody in all metal might just be the one featured in My Nation, it’s truly beautiful.

I think this is my favorite too. It’s been ages since I litened to Kalmah but I still remember the first albums fondly. Those albums always worked better for me than Children Of Bodom or any other band of similar style. I think it has to do with the more vicious sound Kalmah got Thanks to the thrash metal influences.

Love the first 3 but yeah, this one is just a bit better. The electrifying opener and the title track in particular are just so damn memorable. I hope someone makes new reissues of these albums. Would love to have a copy of them but nowadays it seems you can only get their CDs on Discogs.

I hope someone makes new reissues of these albums. Would love to have a copy of them but nowadays it seems you can only get their CDs on Discogs.

Yeah its a rare find, I was lucky enough to buy this one along with Swampsong a long time ago but I'm still missing their first release. I'd like to have the vynils of those 3 even more to be honest. I don't spin cds much anymore and when I get physical copies of albums I really like, this is my new way to go.

Revisited this one. Still a really good album. And yes, the thrashy influences are pretty prominent.
