Power Quest - Blood Alliance

What a joke...Europe was meant to be getting this around a week ago.

"Survive" is really awesome, a great feeling, but the rest of the album... very regular, the problem is the new singer, he have to improve a lot, but i think he has potential to do it.

Are you saying the new singer is even worse than the previous one? Because the previous one sucked big time. I thought they could only improve by getting a new singer.

Yes, in my opinion is worse (for the moment), and they not only changed the singer, also the rest less the keyboard .

The keyboards are the only good thing about Power Quest.

The keyboards are the only good thing about Power Quest.

Indeed he is very good in my opinion, you can see it for example in the new song "Survive".

Since when? I'm a regular at the Power Quest forum and see all the announcements from the band and band members on Facebook etc and they have never announced that Blood Alliance would be out in Europe in January.

Since when? I'm a regular at the Power Quest forum and see all the announcements from the band and band members on Facebook etc and they have never announced that Blood Alliance would be out in Europe in January.

Yeah well this site said Jan 19th at one point which was a week before my comment.

EDIT: Alas, I've heard it. Such a shame, the vocalist is absolutely dreadful. The production is typically awful [is that a recurring theme for this band or something?]. I have respect for Steve for going down with his ship. Can't lose face to Herman Li and Sam Totman [especially], should have a side project called 'Braveheart'

Power Quest lost it's unique sound. The album is nice, but it hasn't got that unique Power Quest sound. Too general vocals, and not as much keyboard as they used to have.

Power Quest = 2 good albums (the first two ones)...since then i quite doubt they are capable of making something that would appeal even to me...

Somapala, the vocalist, is quite good imo. But yeah your right, he does sound dreadful on this album, most probably due to the lacklustre quality of the music.

Listening to a few songs on youtube... seems like the same old generic power metal, but it's quite appealing to me at the moment. Maybe I've overdone death/grind or something lately... Maybe I'll get this album.

Solid album. Love Chitty's voice with their music. A band reborn that's for sure!

Apparently you really liked it, huh? I see you gave it a 9.

This is IMO the best they've done since the first album. The brutal cheezyness is gone (which I kinda liked on the first albums though) and we're left with a solid Power Metal album.

Chity is pretty awesome. Cheesy album, but I can listen to it cause of him.
