Alarum - Guitarist Leaves The Band
Mark Evans, guitarist and founding member of Australia's progressive/fusion/thrash metal band Alarum, is leaving the band.
Evans announced his departure as follows: "For reasons for which at this time I would rather not disclose, I must inform you that I will not be continuing with Alarum. You will still get to hear the new album, a release date will be set shortly."
Later that day, drummer Rob Brens issued the following: "Just so people aren't getting the wrong idea, Alarum is NOT splitting up. The album will still be released and you will get to see it performed. Stay tuned."
The band is currently planning to release its third album, entitled Natural Causes, soon. On January 12th, the band revealed that "the final touches are being done on Natural Causes and mixing has begun."
