I pre-ordered this album. Today is release date. Do you guys think this shit arrived in my mail then? Of course not.

didn't absolutely hate VI or VII, but can't say i'd rank those too high either. I II III IV and V are all masterpieces IMO and most EP's are great as well. while i can still hear some VI in this, i can't rate it lower than a 9 not only for the music itself, but for the relief that they've proved they can still do what they once did.

It's better than the last three Swedish Shining records that's for sure

The Ghastly Silence is utterly brilliant. The best Shining record since Halmstad and one of the best IMO.

Best song on the album but also a total rip off of the "28 Days/Weeks Later" soundtrack. The melody is exactly the same. Doesn't matter though, it's a great tune.

This album is just what I expected. I have a great soundtrack for November now.

I've been listening to it since morning no stop
i can't get the 2nd, 5th, 6th tracks out of my mind
loved it.

Wasnt sure if i would like all the clear vocals in this album... but after listening it for a few times i found this to be just as dark as the previous albums. hail Kvaforth

The english kills it for me in some parts. Not because of the language or the pronunciation but because it gets too over the top with the satan, darkness and cheesy lyrics. It was better when I couldn't understand a thing Neverthless excellent album.

I like this kind of black metal.

Pretty good album. can't be categorized in depressive black genre but the mixture of acoustics and electrics is very good. very similar to Halmstad, however this one is ENGLISH. LOL

This is funny.

Funny how back when this was released I thought that this was a proper return to form after the albums VI and VII. Because over a decade later I find myself liking VI and VII more than this one. It's still got great songwriting though. Some solos are quite powerful. But for some reason the songs do not engage me as much as I want them too. Might need to revisit it a couple more times for I recall really loving this the year it came out (gave it a staff pick and all).
